Mr. Allen has 16 years of experience in Project Management, Structural Engineering, and Construction Administration including the design and management of a variety of projects for heavy industry, pharmaceutical, institutional, and commercial facilities.  Bill’s structural design experience includes the design of structural steel, reinforced concrete, wood, and masonry structures.  Bill is responsible for coordination of day-to-day activities of the firm as well as human resources coordination, project management, construction administration, structural engineering, and business development. 


SCOTT BURGER, PE, Partner

Project Manager / Electrical Engineer

Mr. Burger has 29 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer.  This practice includes 26 years experience in power and control system design and 18 years experience in project management.  The last 22 years Scott has been working in the engineering and construction industry, managing A&E projects.  Scott’s responsibilities include coordination of day-to-day activities of the firm as well as accounting oversight, project management, construction administration, electrical engineering, and business development. 

 

TRICIA ALLEN

Accounting Clerk

Ms. Allen is experienced with classifying, recording, and summarizing numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records.  Tricia is responsible for the day-to-day financial activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank deposits, and financial reporting. 

 

CHRISTY BURGER, AIA

Project Manager / Architect

Ms. Burger has been providing architectural design services on a variety of projects for more than 13 years.  Her experience inludes renovations, new construction, and feasibility studies for commercial, industrial, educational, and government clients.  Christy's responsibilities include condition assessments/field inspections, improvement/upgrade recommendations, space planning, development of project drawings and specifications, material take-offs, cost estimating, and scope/fee proposal development. 

 

DANNY DINKINS

Senior Designer

Mr. Dinkins has over 16 years of experience performing multi-discipline design for commercial, institutional, industrial, and residential clients.  Danny is proficient in AutoCAD and Microstation design software and his skills are used in all disciplines to generate structural foundations, framing drawings, electrical details, architectural floor plans, mechanical, HVAC, and piping drawings.  Danny's responsibilities include architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical design and drafting; implementation of CAD software and standards; and oversight of drafting quality control. 


DAVID GILES, AIA, LEED AP

Project Manager / Architect

Mr. Giles has 33 years of experience in architectural design including design and management of a variety of projects for colleges and universities, assisted living facilities, local and state government agencies, and private industry facilities.  David’s responsibilities include condition assessments/field inspections, space planning, finish selections, development of project drawings and specifications, multi-discipline coordination/quality control, material take-offs, cost estimating, shop drawing review, construction administration, scope/fee proposal development, and project management.

Mr. Herring has 25 years of experience providing architectural design including design and management of a variety of projects for commercial, government/military, local and state government agencies, and private industry facilities.  Steve's experience includes extensive rehabilitation/restoration projects as well as master planning.  His ’s responsibilities include condition assessments/field inspections, space planning, finish selections, development of project drawings and specifications, multi-discipline coordination/quality control, material take-offs, cost estimating, shop drawing review, construction administration, scope/fee proposal development, and project management. 

 

STEVE HOVIS, PE, CEM, CEA, LEED AP

Project Manager / Mechanical Engineer

Mr. Hovis has 15 years experience in a broad range of renovation, new construction, and design-build projects including design and management of a variety of projects for educational, heavy industry facilities, pharmaceutical, institutional, and commercial clients.  Steve has served as Project Manager, Mechanical Engineer, and Construction Administrator for projects of varying size, from $1,000 fee studies to a $2,500,000 HVAC renovation.  Steve's responsibilities include project management, mechanical engineering, construction administration, information technology, and business development.  

 

DEBBIE LEECH, EIT

Structural Engineer in Training 

Ms. Leech has over 11 years experience in the architectural and engineering industry.  Debbie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from Old Dominion University and is a graduate of Central Virginia Community College with a degree in Civil/Architectural Engineering Technology.  Debbie's responsibilities include assisting with the design of building renovations and additions, inspections/assessments, feasibility studies, and new building design.

 

PHIL MAYS, PE

Structural Engineer

Mr. Mays has more than 40 years of experience in Structural and Civil Engineering design for a variety of industries including pharamceutical, fibers and plastics, pulp and paper, chemical, tobacco, and various manufacturing facilities and commercial projects.  Phil's structural design experience includes the design of structural steel, reinforced concrete, wood, and masonry structures. 

 

KELLI PETTRY

Office Administrator

Ms. Pettry has over 25 years experience in the administrative field, including 11 years in the A&E industry.  Kelli is skilled in numerous software applications including industry-specific MASTERSPEC MasterFormat 1995/2004 and SpecsIntact Version 4.4.  Kelli’s responsibilities include coordination of administrative functions such as report preparation, cost estimates, proposals, and accounting assistance; preparation of project specifications and bid documents; coordination of shop drawings and response to comments; and business development coordination including design and preparation of brochures, proposals, and presentations. 

 

WYATT TORRENCE

Architectural Designer

Mr. Torrence is proficient in AutoCAD design software and his skills are used in all disciplines.  He is in the process of obtaining his Masters in Architecture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.  Wyatt's architectural responsibilities include assisting with the design of roof replacements, building renovations and additions, inspections/assessments, feasibility studies, interior space planning and renovations, ADA compliance studies and upgrades, and new building design.

Mechanical Designer

Mr. Tinsley is a Certified Master Plumber with 25 years experience providing mechanical, HVAC, and piping design for industrial, commercial, and residential projects.  David's responsibilities include mechanical design for building renovations, additions, and new construction as well as assisting with construction estimates. 
 

FRED WALKER, PE, LEED AP

Project Manager / Mechanical Engineer

Mr. Walker is a Mechanical Engineer with 29 years experience performing mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical design and commissioning services for a variety of facilities including educational, retail, financial, office and professional buildings, churches, public housing, hospital and health care, and industrial.  Fred's experience includes providing independent engineering consultant services as well as serving as Plant Engineer for American Electric Power Company for 13 years.  Fred's responsibilities include project management, mechanical engineering, construction administration, and business development.  

 

TERRY WOOLDRIDGE, LC

Electrical Designer

Mr. Wooldridge has over 23 years experience providing electrical design for industrial, commercial, correctional, educational, and healthcare facilities.  Terry holds Lighting Certification from the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions (NCQLP).  His experience includes design for an array of applications including industrial controls, computer centers, architectural power and lighting, uninterruptible power supply, mechanical systems, fire alarm systems, and security systems.  Terry's responsibilities include development of project drawings and specifications, multi-discipline coordination/quality control, material take-offs, cost estimating, and shop drawing review.
